I’m Elliot, and EB Web Services UK is me — a one-person studio in Manchester. That means no agency overhead baked into your quote, no junior handed your project after the pitch, and no waiting three days for an account manager to relay a question. You get me, start to finish.
UK agencies commonly quote several thousand pounds for a small business site, then attach a monthly retainer to it. I build to the same standard for a fraction of that, with a fixed quote up front and maintenance you only pay for when you use it — £25 an hour, or £180 for a full day.
Roughly two thirds of UK web traffic is mobile, so that is where the design starts — not where it gets squashed at the end. Every build is tested on real devices for tap targets, safe areas, reduced motion and one-handed reach before it goes anywhere near a launch date.
What I actually do
No account managers, no middlemen, no discovery phase that bills you before anything exists. You deal with me, the person writing the code — from the first email to launch day, and every update after it.

Bespoke builds are designed and coded from scratch around your brand, and you see Figma designs before a line of code is written. In a hurry? The £300 starter uses one of my own in-house templates, re-skinned for you — never a bought theme or a page builder.

Logins, dashboards, bookings, payments, multi-tenant portals. Where a brochure site stops, I keep going — with Supabase or a headless CMS behind it so your team can run the thing without ringing me.

Sub-second loads, clean Core Web Vitals, structured data and a technical SEO pass on every page. Fast sites rank better and convert better — that is the whole argument.

Launch is the start of the relationship, not the end. Updates, fixes, seasonal refreshes and new features, billed pay as you go at £25 an hour, only when you need them.
Before you ask
Websites start at £300 for a three-page build on one of the in-house templates. A five-to-six page bespoke site runs £400–£560, larger sites with a full backend are £600–£950, and a website paired with a native Android app starts from £1,500, quoted to the project. Every quote is fixed before work starts and held for 30 days.
A three-page site is usually live within one to two weeks. Bespoke five-to-six page builds take two to four weeks, and larger platforms with a backend take four to eight weeks. The clock depends far more on how quickly content and feedback come back than on the build itself.
Yes. On final payment, all bespoke code and design assets created for your project transfer to you outright. There is no licence to renew and nothing is held hostage.
Maintenance is pay as you go at £25 per hour, or £180 for a full day of eight hours. Build on Smooth scale or Big time and your first ten hours are £15. No minimum spend and no monthly fee — you only pay when you actually need work doing.
No. I’m based in Manchester and work with clients across the UK and internationally — current live projects range from a Manchester importer to clients in London, Nigeria and Australia. Everything runs over email, video calls and shared Figma files.
Hosting is included at no extra cost on every package. It runs on the same infrastructure I use for my own site, so there is no separate hosting bill to set up and nothing to configure at your end. If you would rather host it yourself, or already have a provider, that is fine too — you own the code and it will run anywhere.
Next.js, React and TypeScript for anything that needs to scale, Supabase for databases and authentication, and hand-written semantic HTML and CSS where a site should stay light. WordPress is offered when a client genuinely needs it — the tool is chosen to fit the job, not the trend.
